Quilting is rooted in form-factor. The drawstring bag shares that same standardization. Its gathered design made possible by “drawstrings” carries life’s essentials with ease. Functional yet enduringly elegant.
Gathered Standard brings these timeless concepts together.
The MARIN Collection
Two coasts. One story. Brought to life in the MARIN Collection — a limited edition run by Gathered Standard - our first waterproof design - and truly inspired by my own lived life.
Along the shores of Marin County in Northern California, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, is a place where I've spent some of the most meaningful moments. The landscape is rugged and enduring, shaped by wind, water, and time. Equally special to me is the Carolina coast — a shoreline full of softness and moss-draped beauty found only in the Low-country of South Carolina.
Though separated by hundreds of miles, these two coastlines share a quiet, lasting heritage and similarity.
The MARIN was inspired by both. A reflection of coastal living, wherever you are — from California to Carolina.
The Gathered Wrap
Why has the drawstring been limited to bags— when its function translates so effortlessly— its function is so versatile and timeless.
A simple application of a classic concept.
Now, quilted, and with a drawstring. The Gathered Wrap is a quietly elegant statement — an accessory built on the beautiful, original headpieces created so many years before it. It’s soft, gentle— and it will work harder than it looks.
